BGID began as Michaele Boehm Interiors in the late 1980s. It’s founder, Michaele Boehm, University of Rhode Island graduate, studied at Chamberlain on Newberry Street in Boston. She worked for an established firm before founding her own in Bedford, NH.
Her daughter Kacey was brought up moving furniture at age 4, antiquing at 10 and was helping with showhouses at 15. After graduating from Providence College she worked for several years in pharmaceuticals for Johnson and Johnson. She soon realized her true passion was interior design.
This mother-daughter design team founded BGID in 1999. Through the years they have collaborated on countless projects throughout New England and down to Florida. Their work has been featured in Traditional Home, Design New England, New England Home, Accent Home and Garden, New England Finery, Coastal Home, New Hampshire Home, New Hampshire Magazine, Maine Home and Design, Boston Globe publication and National publication.
